Wilbur Kohn, 90, of Palm Bay Fla., passed away March 1, 2012.

Wilbur was born July 10, 1921 in Duluth, to the late Frank and Bessie Slonim Kohn.

He lived in Duluth, for most of his life and in Tucson, Ariz. He moved to Florida in 2002 with his dear wife, Lois Helene Wagstrom Kohn, who preceded him in death in 2006, after 59-years of marriage. His brothers, Dave Kahn and Morris Kohn, also preceded him in death.

Will, a B-26 pilot, was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran, serving in the European Theater during World War II. He returned to work on the railroad when the conflict ended and retired after more than 40-years of service as a train conductor for the DM&IR Railroad in November 1981.

Will and Lois had both been members of Peace Lutheran Church in Palm Bay.

Will's surviving family includes his son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Fumie Kohn; and cousins, Edward and Charles Slonim. He also had a loving extended family of 11 nieces and nephews on Lois's side. In addition, Lorna George and her family, who loved and cared for him in his last five years, became his close friends. All whom he knew, he touched with kindness, gentleness, and compassion, and we shall surely miss him.
